Russia asked FBI to investigate Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 – But they said they didnt know who the suspects were?
Russia asked the FBI to investigate Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011, a source in US law enforcement told Reuters. The FBI had earlier reported on its website that an unnamed ‘foreign government’ had asked them for information.
The slain Boston marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who previously was designated as Suspect 1, was investigated in 2011 by the FBI upon a certain foreign state’s request.
The state, which was not identified in the statement on the FBI website, filed a request concerning Tsarnaev saying that he was a follower of radical Islam and was preparing to leave the US for a particular region to join “unspecified underground groups.”
The FBI says they checked all the information possible, looking for “derogatory telephone communications, possible use of online sites associated with the promotion of radical activity, associations with other persons of interest,” and checking the suspect’s travel history, plans, and education history.
Tsarnaev and his family members were also interviewed by the FBI.
Upon analyzing the data, the FBI had found nothing suspicious at the time.
“The FBI did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign, and those results were provided to the foreign government in the summer of 2011. The FBI requested but did not receive more specific or additional information from the foreign government,” the FBI statement says.
Why the boston bombing suspect wasn’t read his Miranda Rights – Pool of Blood, Bloody Clothes, Numerous Gunshots, Injury to Throat
After his arrest on Friday night, Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remains in serious condition at a Boston hospital, the same hospital as some of the victims of the bombings at the Boston Marathon, according NBC News.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was being held at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where 11 victims were also being treated after two blasts tore through crowds at the finish line of Monday’s race.
He was wounded in the firefight with cops but escaped, sparking a daylong lockdown of Boston and surrounding towns.
The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings suffered an injury to his throat and may not be able to talk, a federal official told CNN on Saturday, possibly hindering attempts by authorities to question him about a motive in the attack.
Note : Quotes from the finding of the Suspect
“He climbed in for a closer look, which is when he saw a pool of blood and what he thought was a crumpled body. He saw something hunched down toward the forward of the boat”
“Severe blood loss, Shot to the Throat (now being reported as attempted suicide)”
“30 to 40 shots were fired at the Boat”
With one suspect dead, authorities believe answers to a motive and whether the brothers had help rest with Dzhokar Tsarnaev, who was captured Friday night just minutes after authorities had indicated that a massive manhunt for the suspect appeared to come up empty.
The official, who was briefed on Tsarnaev’s condition, spoke on condition of anonymity.
Tsarnaev was in “serious but stable condition” and “not yet able to communicate yet,” Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick told reporters during an impromptu briefing on Saturday.
Federal prosecutors are at the heavily guarded Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where Tsarnaev is being treated for wounds.
Authorities have not publicly detailed the injuries sustained by the teen, but an official who has been briefed said Tsarnaev has been “intubated and sedated.” The official also spoke on condition of anonymity.
One of the big questions surrounding the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston bombing suspect, is why law enforcement officials did not read him his Miranda Rights. The Justice Department cited the public safety exception, which allows law enforcement to temporarily question a suspect before reading the Miranda Rights, if there is an “objectively reasonable need to protect the police or the public from immediate danger,” according to the FBI website.
In this case, the Justice Department said it invoked the exception “in order to question the suspect extensively about other potential explosive devices or accomplices and to gain critical intelligence,” according to an official who spoke with TPM.
It stems from a 1984 U.S. Supreme Court case (New York v. Quarles) involving a Queens man charged with criminal gun possession. A witness told police the man raped her and had a gun. When they found him at an A&P supermarket, he had an empty shoulder holster. An officer, after handcuffing him, asked him where the gun was. The man gestured toward a stack of liquid-soap cartons, where police found a loaded revolver.
Lower courts tossed the evidence because the man was wasn’t read his rights before handcuffed and questioned. The Supreme Court disagreed, articulating a ‘public safety’ exception.
Despite what Lindsey Graham may want, though, the public safety exception is only temporary
Are You Just A Believer Or Do You THINK Boston Bombing?
I’ve studied and graduated EMT-B certification with the state of Oregon. I’ve been on calls with heavy arterial bleeds, internal bleeding, fatalities, doa’s. I am speaking from direct personal experience with severe trauma.
If you lose both your legs from explosive trauma half your blood is gone in one minute via the femoral arteries, you’re dead after two. Bleeding out is worse with blunt force trauma (like shrapnel) because flesh is torn rather than cut, exposing more arterial and vascular tissue. The human body holds 5 to 6 LITERS of blood. If that really happened you would see blood EVERYWHERE, the guy would be drenched in it. You would also see whats called arterial spurting from the injury. Most likely he would vomit after turning ghost white from shock, then turning delirious or passing out. As for the “tourniquet”…
Its not even tied off, its suspended via gravity, which would literally do nothing to an arterial sever. There’s no pressure applied. There’s no knot with a turn stick for leverage. You can clearly see a gap in the nonexistent wrap job on his left inner thigh (left anterior proximal for you experts) His hands have no blood on them. There’s no blood on the ground. The color in his hands and lips shows good circulation.
This is an actor. This is staged. How did they pull it off though? I can show you.
I have decided to put this post in another section due to the graphic nature of it, however it is no worse than anything you may see in the movies, and if you believe….its posted here anyway - Link to Post VERY GRAPHIC
President Obama has already delivered a Guilty Verdict to Suspected Boston Bomber
President delivers ‘executive verdict’ as Feds draft in Gitmo interrogators to handle 19 year old student held in custody
Rule number one for any serious crime scene or investigation is to gather all the evidence and all the testimonies first, before being able to establish criminal charges, let alone deliver any meaningful verdict.
In an extraordinary executive intervention, the President of the United States has weighed in on the Boston Bombing case – already delivering a guilty verdict for the Tsarnaev brothers.
Barack Obama informed the nation this weekend, “Whatever hateful agenda drove these men to such heinous acts will not, cannot, prevail. Whatever they thought they could achieve, they’ve already failed.”
The President added to this conclusion,“Why did young men who grew up and studied here as part of our communities and our country resort to such violence?”
Why is there such an incessant rush by the White House to quickly draw a line under this case? Does the President know something yet to be discovered by CSI investigators and witness interviewers in this case?
One reason could be the ever-growing list of unanswered questions and evidence yet to be addressed by either the FBI and law enforcement in charge of this case.
Dzhokar still only a suspect
Granted, a trial in the media is almost expected these days in America, but are we being asked to give up the expectation that the business of determining guilt should be within the jurisdiction of CSI teams, police detectives and the courts – and not within the scope of any politician’s remit? Is it the President’s role to play judge in such matters?
Despite all the patriotic rhetoric, political hype and media fanfare endured over this last week, the fundamental problem with such conclusive statements by the executive branch – is that suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev is only that – a suspect, and no actual or real forensic, or eyewitness evidence has been produced to prove that either him, or his deceased older brother were the actual bombers.
It has been confirmed that the suspect Dzhokar was not read his Miranda Rights by law enforcement. According to officials, the surviving suspect should not receive the same Constitutional rights normally offered to Americans by invoking a “public safety exception”, effectively placing him in the category of enemy combatant.
“The government has invoked the public safety exception, a designation that allows investigators to question the teen without reading him his Miranda rights and without a lawyer present, another Justice Department official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, told CNN.”
Will Dzhokar be allowed to talk?
Interestingly, we are told that 19 year old student Dzhokar may not be able talk at all, due to injuries sustained to his throat.
“The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings suffered an injury to his throat and may not be able to talk, a federal official told CNN on Saturday, possibly hindering attempts by authorities to question him about a motive in the attack.”
The health and well-being of the suspect should be of the up most importance to everyone involved. One should also note here that if this suspect is not able to tell his story in public, it would be a great loss to the American people, who might be robbed of any further evidence and insight into the actual involvement of the two Tsarnaev brother in the Boston Bombings last week.
Beyond this, if any untoward behaviour or broken procedure was done by law enforcement during the pursuit and apprehension of the two suspects, this would likely be revealed by Dzhokar’s own testimony. His inability to talk might be convenient for law enforcement, if any basic rules of engagement were broken.
Guantanamo interrogators assigned to suspect
If this suspect is able to talk eventually, he may have to go through a process of interrogation that is normally reserved for US detainees held at the government’s dubious offshore facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
ABC news conformed today that a team specialising in ‘enhanced interrogation’ are already on the way to conduct information extraction from the 19 year old student.
“Tsarnaev will be questioned by a federal team called the High Value Detainee Interrogation Group, which includes officials of the FBI, CIA, and Defense Department, an Obama administration official said.”
This development carries additional implications as to the definition of a suspect’s rights to a fair testimony and trial in the United States.
Sadly, it threatens to drag the entire torture debate back to square one again, with the obvious question rearing its old head: is any evidence or testimony gleaned through torturing a suspect even admissible in a modern court of law? The key word there being “modern”.
Rather than seize the opportunity to advance modern progress in justice and human rights – to really prove the robustness of our own justice system (yes, that one we supposedly fought and died for), the Federal jackboot, led in this instance by President Obama, has chosen to digress instead.
Color of Alleged Boston Bomber’s Rucksack Contradicted?
The second official suspect in the Boston Bombings case was captured yesterday evening after hiding in a boat, in the backyard of a local Boston resident. Despite the cheers and jubilation from onlookers, this case is far from being over. Careful analysis of the available evidence and statements made by authorities & the media, are starting to show possible contradictions in the alleged evidence against the young man, specifically in regard to the color of his rucksack.
According to the press conference following his capture, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, the younger of the two suspects, had wandered wounded in to the yard of a Franklin Street, Watertown, home and was discovered hiding in a boat after the resident noticed blood nearby. It is not clear why Dzhokhar did not try and escape, as he remained in the boat until authorities arrived and surrounded the area, but he may have been too injured to run off.
Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis told reporters that the suspect was not communicative, but police say gunfire was exchanged before they managed to move in and apprehend him. No officers were harmed during the incident.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is believed to have been taken to a Massachusetts hospital, suffering from gunshot wounds to the neck and leg. It’s not immediately clear the full extent of his injuries or when and were they occurred, but authorities also claim he was also involved in a chase and firefight with police the previous night, in which his elder brother (also a suspect) was shot and later died from his injuries.
Color of the Rucksacks and where were they found?
Following Dzhokhar’s capture Boston Police Department issued a celebratory Tweet: “CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in custody.”
However the many facets of this case are far from being closed, and at this stage Dzhokhar is only a suspect with guilt yet to be proven in a court of law.
As we noted yesterday there is a possibility that the authorities had some level of prior intelligence that prompted them to perform a “drill” the morning of the marathon, with bomb sniffer dogs and roof spotters near the start line. They also deployed several National Guard units, including the Weapons of Mass Destruction Civilian Support Team in the immediate vicinity of where the first explosion went off, near the finish line.
Authorities claim that this first explosion was carried out by deceased “suspect 1″ Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who wore a black/dark gray rucksack that day judging from the various photos and footage in the public domain. So far there has been no mention of direct evidence showing him place the bag, in terms of photos or video, although survivor Jeff Bauman, the man widely photographed with the missing legs is said to have positively identified him there. His brother is quoted in The Telegraph saying “He woke up under so much drugs, asked for a paper and pen and wrote, ‘bag, saw the guy, looked right at me’.”
Although various outlets have insinuated that Bauman said he saw Tamerlan literally sit the rucksack at his feet, there are currently no direct quotes of this at this stage and no actual description of the bag or its color.
If Bauman did see Tamerlan and it was noteworthy enough to be recalled, it would be of use to know whether the two CST types who were in the immediate vicinity at some point before the explosion also saw something similar. They luckily managed to avoid the blast and reach the road to call for backup.
The second explosion that occurred further down the street near the Forum Restaurant, is said to have been carried out by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev who was apprehended yesterday evening. Photos and video of the day show him to be wearing a predominately light colored bag.
Investigators announced when they revealed images of the suspects that they have evidence of Dzhokhar placing a rucksack at the scene, however this has not been released to the public, and is likely being held off for the trial.
This is where there appears to be a significant contradiction that rests on the release of this video.
Original media reports of CCTV showing a man placing a bag at the scene of explosion 2 describe it as black, but Dzhokhar, accused of the attack, was carrying a predominantly light colored bag.
Boston Globe was first with this story on April 17:
An official briefed on the Boston Marathon terror bombing investigation said today that authorities have an image of a suspect carrying, and perhaps dropping, a black bag at the second bombing scene on Boylston Street, outside of the Forum restaurant.
Newsday followed with:
The video of the man who may have planted the explosives — two pressure cookers packed with nails, ball bearings and scrap metal — was shot by a camera mounted on the outside of the Lord & Taylor department store on Boylston Street.
The following day The Guardian had much the same story, citing the Mayor:
Thomas Menino, the mayor of Boston, said that a significant lead had been provided by video footage recorded by a department store security camera. The footage was reported to show a possible suspect dropping a black bag at the location of the second bomb shortly before the blast.
Using Google Maps Street View we can confirm that the Lord & Taylor store is across the street from the second explosion at the Forum Restaurant. So if Lord & Taylor are the source of the “video evidence” it almost certainly refers to the evidence authorities claim to have of Dzhokhar carrying out explosion 2.
Of course prior to news of this “video evidence” the FBI had already circulated images of a shredded black rucksack, so it’s entirely possible that various news outlets simply assumed if video shows a bag being dropped, it must be black. In these reports it was never mentioned where the shredded bag was discovered, but can we use photo evidence to confirm this ourselves?
This is the image of the bag. Note the color of the road and the white line it’s placed near. The bag is about the same width as the line.
If we go to photos of the first blast site, can we see any white lines nearby?
The immediate crime scene is on the left, the only white lines are several feet away in the middle of the road. These are standard white lines that if you stood on, your feet would overlap on both sides. These are therefore not the lines the black bag has been photoed against. It’s also unlikely they would have carried it all the way to the road to photograph anyway.
Lets go to the site of the second explosion. Are there any rucksack sized white lines at this crime scene?
Although we cannot be 100% certain, it would seem the black shredded rucksack was discovered at the second blast site as the media have reported and photographed beside the thick white lines in front of the sidewalk.
This should all become clear as more evidence filters out, but at this stage it would appear contradictory to suggest the shredded black rucksack reportedly found at the second blast site was Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s, and therefore it is paramount that authorities release the alleged “video evidence” of him dropping the bag to confirm the color. If it is black, where did he switch his bag? If it’s not black where is the FBI image of the black bag from?
Boston Globe Tweets About Controlled Explosion Before Boston Bombing Happens
On the day of the bombings during the Boston Marathon, The Boston Globe tweeted “Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities.”
I cannot tell you precisely what happened because I do not know. All I am able to tell you is what I have been able to find in my own research and from what I am seeing here, it is all very similar to previous false flag attacks that have occurred in the past. When it came to 9/11, 7/7 London bombings, Sandy Hook shootings and others, the media was leaving out all details regarding very large and telling coincidences. What benefit would there be from leaving out the fact that there is the existence of identically mirrored drills being run at the exact same time as the “terrorist” incidents themselves? Not to mention the drills being run were remarkably identical to the incidents that ended up playing out. While the answer to this question might seem obvious to some, to others it simply is not being looked at.
The timing and location are disputed as it was also announced on that day of an incident (that turned out the be a fire) happening at JFK LIBRARY! Miles away
The Tweet has now disappeared obviously
Oh the picture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev without a bag!
This was taken by a bystander and reports suggest played a vital part in showing the suspect without his bag! However?
You could argue that his left arm is blocking view of his bag, and its at a very awkward angle
These images were taken from official FBI footage released on Youtube of the suspects
Bag on Right shoulder
A side shot….do you see bag?
Throughout the video bag remains on right hand side
If his arm was at the same angle you wouldn’t see bag
Still unsure look at this
Side view, Clear as day…..you can’t see his bag nor would you if his arm was in the same position.
